What is PRINCE2?

Which PRINCE2 certification should I start with?

Most people start with PRINCE2 Project Management Foundation, the core method for managing projects. If your focus is agile delivery, PRINCE2 Agile Foundation is a strong starting point. You can also begin with a specialised module like Risk Management.

What are the PRINCE2 designations?

There are six designations: Project Manager, Agile Expert, Programme Manager, Portfolio Manager, Risk Manager, and PMO Manager. Holding all six leads to PRINCE2 Master.

What is the difference between project, programme, and portfolio management?

Project management delivers a single project. Programme management coordinates related projects toward strategic change. Portfolio management sits above both, deciding which projects and programmes an organisation should invest in.

Why do some certifications show older names like MSP, MoP, or M_o_R?

PeopleCert is aligning these schemes under the PRINCE2 name. MSP (Programme Management), MoP (Portfolio Management), and M_o_R (Risk Management) still appear on certificates and badges during the transition, so you may see both names for now.

How are PRINCE2 exams delivered?

Exams are taken online with proctoring through PeopleCert. On accredited courses, an exam voucher is included with your enrolment.

Do PRINCE2 certifications expire?

PRINCE2 certifications are renewable every 3 years. You can keep yours current through PeopleCert membership by logging CPD points, or by completing another exam in the same product suite before your renewal date.

What formats do you offer?

We deliver our accredited modules as live instructor-led training and self-paced eLearning. Other modules are available as self-paced eLearning or on a register-interest basis while training is prepared.
